Zoho

Originally, Carleton McKenna & Co was using Zoho as their preferred CRM, but there was a lack of onboarding to the platform, so out of six employees, there were only two on the platform with minimal usage and an exorbitant cost. 

As a firm, we wanted to make greater use of the digital universe we were already subscribing to, knowing that Zoho wasn't the proper B2B platform we needed.

R&D

I went through the process of researching and meeting with various sales teams for CRMs like Datasite, Salesforce, Affinity, Hubspot, Zoho One, Redtail Technology, Wealthbox, and Total Expert. 

We officially went with DealCloud, as it was created specifically with the financial services sector in mind. Whether that be Wealth Managers, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Investment Banks, among others.

DealCloud

As the lead contact for the Carleton McKenna team, I spearheaded the onboarding process that would outline our platform pain points to be mediated while using the platform, user profile creation, and custom design discussions that would further provide a custom investment bank CRM and not just a general financial services site.

DealCloud's Platform Manager Certification allowed me to further utilize the platform through internal use and limited the need to connect with our DealCloud representatives to alleviate any issues.

Training & Education

Following the platform certification process, internal CRM training for the Carleton McKenna team could begin. Five training periods were scheduled over the course of 3 weeks, in addition to one-on-one meetings with team members to help them acclimate to the new CRM.

In addition to the in-person training sessions, I created and implemented an internal directory of videos that demonstrated different tasks to be completed within the CRM, should a team member require a virtual demo of the CRM software.

Continuing the Relationship

DealCloud was not meant to remain static in its ability to enhance our client relationships. Continued communication and engagement with DealCloud updates and new product offerings created the opportunity for continued education and development of that platform that would ultimately improve the Transaction Team's efficiency.
